In terms of my reasons of travel, I would say it is travel that is the ultimate escape.
It allows me to get away, frees me from my obligation and bombards me with the unfamiliar, meanwhile teaching me more about myself, my abilities and my limits than any other activity. Travel can be a wonderful mixture of the anticipated and the unexpected. We can plan which airline to fly with, which hotel to stay, what places to sightsee, etc. in advance; nevertheless, there is no greater shock to the senses than that initial blast of culture on arrival in a new place, and nothing more exciting than getting to know it and its people. Travel means learning, learning with regard to the past, future of the people and the places I'm experiencing. Having a trip supply a chance to learn by means of seeing, doing, feeling, tasting, and talking, which only by not being ignorant or narrow-minded can I sock up the main points of each place.
As the saying goes, "Travel opens my mind." Not simply broadens traveling my perspective but likewise enriches my knowledge and experience.
