请英语高手帮我翻译一下这段对话，地道美语，不要翻译器的，口语作业
(B迟到了，A是老师，B之前已经四节课没来)
A：请问你为什么迟到？你叫什么名字？
B：老师我叫mike，您不能因为我四节课不来就忘了我。
A：好吧mike，请问你为什么四节课不来呢？
B：我参加的程序设计比赛要求我和我的同专业的七个同学在机房连续工作二十七天。

当然，肉包子用户的 It doesn't mean that you are allowed to be absent without the permission of teachers who don't know about *it*. 也可以（it 换成 this 更好）。但这样一来句子长度就比原句多出许多，而且有点不自然和啰嗦的感觉——这并不是翻译者的问题，怪也只能怪“请假”没有好的代替词。
现在的专业的要求之一就是用英文写论文（其余时间就是把其它外语译成英文）。个人较擅长翻译对话稿，喜用灵活自然的方法并常常乐在其中。所以可以肯定，这篇口语的翻译是没有问题的。但要完全一板一眼地把文字换过来的话就恐怕没可能了……
